El Gouna is a purpose-built resort featuring quality high standard hotels and is popular with many European holidaymakers which helps to create a vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere. Downtown El Gouna offers nightclubs, restaurants and bars where you can sit and watch the world go by, meanwhile the resort’s multi-cultural community is reflected in the range of cuisines on offer.

El Gouna is made up of a number of small islands and lagoons and getting around is really easy by foot, bicycle, boat or bus. El Gouna also features a USPGA 18-hole championship golf  course at the Steigenberger Hotel.

There are a number of quiet white beaches in El Gouna. Two in particular, Zeytuna and Mangroovy, act as a focal point for evening nightlife with frequent beach parties and other entertainment. None of El Gouna’s hotels have house reefs. Snorkelling is available through Dive Tribe who operate a 2 hour trip twice per day. The resort is also an excellent diving location with some of the finest wrecks in the Red Sea within easy reach. Over 50 dive sites are accessible by boat with frequent dolphin encounters.
