The
Nile Cruise ship LTI Alyssa was built according to international
specifications and classifications required by Germanisher Lloyd.
The Architect who designed the Alyssa is Pia Schmid. Pia specialises
in hotel architecture and design and she is well known and recognised
throughout Europe for her talent and many previous projects. The
philosophy which she adopted for the Alyssa is based on harmony
of colours, nature of the ship, local environment and usage of handcraft.
An environmentally friendly attitude was adopted while working on
the Alyssa, with all design, furniture, upholstery and cabin layout
being specifically designed for LTI Alyssa and not out of a catalogue.
There are a total of 66 Deluxe, spacious cabins comprising of:
58 Double Cabins each 21 sq. meters approximately, 6 King Bed Cabins
and 2 Suites. All cabins and suites are provided with a large panoramic/ultra
violet window overlooking the Nile and are equipped with private
deluxe bath. All cabins and suites are provided with individual
first aid box, mini bar, fridge, bath tub/WC, hair dryer, ventilator,
air conditioning, heating, telephone, radio (within TV), Sat TV,
Colour television with video channels and music channels. Internet
access, safe, carpeting, and sitting area. Non smoking rooms are
also available.
Dining takes place in the large, one-sitting, deluxe Restaurant,
capacity 135 seats, based on Full Board Plus offering national/international
cuisine where a full breakfast is served, a three course Lunch Buffet
and A La Carte style seating arrangements for dinner. Afternoon
tea and cakes are also served. Midnight snack available. Fresh Juice,
Soft Drinks are available, as are Egyptian Beer & Wine (served
with Lunch and Dinner only in the main restaurant).
On the left of the entrance lies the Luxurious Sir Livingstone
lounge bar (African style) with elegant & professional hand
painted ceiling of Sir Livingstone's journey on the Nile, engraved
entrance door and ultra blue panoramic windows allowing vision of
the Nile. The bar has piano for live music entertainment, LCD screen
for data show and a dance floor. Spacious Reception area to be used
as meeting space.
The Sundeck Bar has a flooring of Teak wood and all facilities
to service for Sundeck and pool including two types of sun beds
and also daybeds and convenient floor mats. Italian Terrace is situated
on the 3rd deck offering Italian drinks and snacks. Moroccan Café
is on 2nd deck with Moroccan designs and serving Moroccan drinks
and snacks.
Complete water purification system. Complete sanitation system
(to meet the Green Globe requirements). Also, the highest international
safety standards are strictly observed. Fully air conditioned using
USA Carrier systems (water coolers individually controlled) equipped
with fresh air feeding and suction system. Radar and short wave
radio. Internal/International telephone and internet. All partitions
and ceilings are fire resistant and sound proofed throughout. Gift
shop, beauty salon and Internet Cafe are also available on the mezzanine.
The LTI Alyssa incorporates a Green Wellness Centre to the front
of the ship. The Green Wellness Centre is equipped with the latest
and highest standard mud bath, sauna bath, Jacuzzi, multi purpose
gym including bicycle, rowing machine, treadmill and multi-purpose
machine. To recuperate, the facility has a Vitamin bar. There is
also a Licensed Masseur. Access Spa & facilities are chargeable.
LTI ALyssa Nile Cruise Itinerary
All of the tours are escorted with a professional Egyptologist fully
licensed English speaking guide. An alternative option is to book
the cruise without the tours included in the package.
Day 1 (Wednesday)
Arrival at Luxor airport and transfer to the LTI ALyssa cruise embarkation
point. Ship is overnight at Luxor.
Day 2 (Thursday)
East Bank Sightseeing, discover the history and wonders of the Karnak
Temples and the grandeur Luxor Temple. As an optional tour in the
evening you can experience the amazing sound and light of the Karnak
Temples, alternatively enjoy your evening at leisure in Luxor, where
we remain overnight.
Day 3 (Friday)
Before sailing to Esna, we take you to the West Bank which includes
a drive through fields of sugar cane, that line the West Bank, we
will pass the twin colossi of Memnon, the enormous seated statues
who guard the entrance to the Valley. Next, visit the valleys of
the Kings, and enter the temples of some of the great pharaohs and
after we go to the temple of Hatshepsut, finally we do a visit to
Madinet Habu. During lunch Alyssa will set sail and head south down
the Nile to Esna, here we port overnight or Continue to Edfu for
Overnight.
Day 4 (Saturday)
The morning starts with a very memorable visit to the Temple of
Horus in Edfu by horse and carriage. Alyssa then sails on to Kom
Ombo and after Lunch a visit to the double Temple of Kom Ombo completes
a full day of amazing sightseeing and peaceful sailing. We now continue
overnight sailing to Aswan.
Day 5 (Sunday)
Following breakfast on board, you will depart for your next tour
to the Island of Philae, where you will visit the temple complex
of Isis. After this visit you can take an optional trip to visit
the unfinished Obelisk at the granite quarry and Aswan High dam.
Lunch will be served back on board, and in the afternoon you will
enjoy a felucca ride around the botanical garden. You will return
to the boat for dinner and overnight in Aswan.
Day 6 (Monday)
An early morning sunrise tour will take you to the glorious and
mysterious Abu Simbel Temple of Ramses II, this is an optional tour,
and perhaps the most impressive and unforgettable. This day there
is no tour included in the cruise package, the day is spent at leisure
onboard if any of the optional tours are not taken. We remain overnight
in Aswan.
DAY 7 (Tuesday)
Alyssa begins her leisurely sail back to Luxor, the perfect opportunity
to savour the memories of your luxury cruise, and enjoy once again
the stunning views of the Nile. You can relax in style on the sundeck,
and be spoilt with a gastronomical lunch as you sail! The final
evening is spent in Luxor.
Day 8 (Wednesday)
Disembark Alyssa and make the return to Luxor airport. During the
day you have the opportunity to visit the museum of Luxor which
is only five minutes from the port and is payable localy.
During the cruise you will be asked to tip the staff and your appointed
guide will inform you about this. This is customary in Egypt, and
we advise that you tip an overall amount at the end of your stay,
and hand this into the cruise management; this is then shared with
all of the staff.
