The Sunrise MS Semiramis is a perfect vessel to take you on your Nile Cruise journey. There are five decks with a host of onboard facilities and activities, so when you aren’t exploring ancientEgypton some of the wonderful excursions on offer there is plenty to do to indulge yourself, relax and enjoy.
Four of the decks on the Sunrise MS Semiramis have cabins, there is a small swimming pool with sun deck and recreation area , restaurant serving international cuisine, lounge bar with dance area and reading area.
Activities include a whirpool, billiard table and frequent evening entertainment.
The upper deck external cabins have a double bed or twin beds (some with extra bed), TV, mini fridge, individually controlled air conditioning and shower room with integral hairdryer. All prices are based on 2 adults sharing on Full Board or All Inclusive. There are a limited number of upper deck external cabins for sole use and upper deck external suites (with king size bed) which are available at a supplement.
MS Sunrise Semiramis Nile Cruise Itinerary
Day 1 (Wednesday)
After being met on your arrival atLuxorairport you will be taken to your chosen cruise ship. Diner will be served on board with an overnight stay on board inLuxor.
Day 2 (Thursday)
After breakfast on board you will visit the East Bank of the Nile, including Karnak andLuxorTemples. Lunch and dinner will be served on board with an overnight stay on board inLuxor.
Day 3 (Friday)
After breakfast on board you will visit the West Bank, this will include the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut’sTemplein the Valley of theQueensand Memnon Colossi. Lunch and dinner will be served on board and then you sail to Edfu for on board overnight stay.
Day 4 (Saturday)
Breakfast on board and then visit toEdfuTemple. Afternoon sailing to Kom Ombo and visit to theTempleofHaroerisand Sobek in Kom Ombo. Lunch and dinner to be served on board while we sail toAswan, overnight on board inAswan.
Day 5 (Sunday)
After breakfast on board the morning will be spent visiting the Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk andPhilaeTemple. Panoramic sailing on board a felucca passing the Aga Khan’s Mausoleum, followed by a visit to the Botanical Gardens. An optional tour ofAswanis available in the afternoon, lunch and dinner served on board, overnight on board inAswan.
Day 6 (Monday)
After breakfast on board there is an optional morning visit by air or coach toAbu Simbel(local charge). Afternoon sailing to Edfu, lunch and dinner will be served on board and overnight on board in Edfu.
Day 7 (Tuesday)
Breakfast on board and morning sailing toLuxor. Lunch and dinner served on board and overnight on board inLuxor.
Day 8 (Wednesday)
Breakfast and lunch on board before disembarking mid-afternoon and returning toLuxor Airport for your return flight home or for your onward transport to your chosen hotel for the remainder of your holiday.
There is a tab system operated on board the ship where all extras are billed to your cabin and settled at the end of your cruise. Tips are not included, drinks are only included when booking All Inclusive on your chosen boat.
Please note that Nile Cruises are not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Children aged 6 and under are unable to travel on this cruise boat.
- Please note that the itinerary may be amended if local conditions deem it necessary.
- Tipping (known as baksheesh) is a way of life in Egypt and guests should be prepared for this when visiting the country or cruising on the Nile
- Because they are mechanical it may be necessary (in rare circumstances) to substitute a Nile cruise vessel, in this event a similar or better standard boat would be used.
