  • Oberoi Zahra is a stylish, boutique Nile Cruise ship offering refined elegance and unparalleled luxury.

    Cabins

    A total of just 25 cabins and 2 spacious suites ensures guests sailing onboard the Oberoi Zahra do so in a style and ambience second to none.

    Accommodation is exquisitely furnished and decorated in a chic contemporary style. Amenities include twin beds or a king-size bed, bathroom with walk-in shower, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer, telephone, 26″ LCD TV, CD & DVD player, free high-speed Internet access, minibar, tea and coffee-making facilities, safe deposit box and climatic control. One suite has been adapted for diabled guests.

    The 2 Luxury Suites boast a separate living room and a private sun deck with an outdoor jacuzzi.

    Food & Beverages

    The Oberoi Zahra offers guests a stylish lounge and dining rooms where Egyptian and International cuisine is served.

    Spa

    The Oberoi Zahra is currently the only Nile cruise ship which features a spa. Guests can choose from a fabulous menu of of spa packages including pedicure, manicure, hair salon and 4 massage suites.

    Oberoi Zahra Nile Cruise Itinerary

    Because Oberoi Zahra sails on Tuesday there are a number of options available regarding itineraries. The cruise itinerary is shown below but we would advise one night pre-cruise due to the noon embarkation on Tuesday. You may also like to consider adding some time in Cairo and we offer another itinerary which includes 3 nights at the Mena House Oberoi.

    The Oberoi Zahra cruises one-way between Luxor and Aswan, meaning on alternate weeks it travles from Aswan to Luxor. The content of the itinerary is similar but in reverse. Ask us for more information.

    Day 1 (Tuesday)

    Noon embarkation. After lunch visit the Karnak Temple and Luxor Museum. Dinner on board and overnight in Luxor.

    Day 2 (Wednesday)

    After breakfast, transfer to the West Bank to explore ancient Thebes, visit the Valley of the Kings, with its royal tombs, King Tut’s tomb and Ramses ‘the Six’. This is followed by a visit to the temple of Madinat Habu and on the way back stops at the Colossus of Memnon. Sail to Quina and after lunch free time. Early evening travel to Dendera for a private visit to the Temple of Denderah dedicated to Hathor, Goddess of Music, Love and Joy. Dinner on board and overnight in Quina.

    Day 3 (Thursday)

    Sail to Luxor. After breakfast visit the West Bank (Valley of the Noble’s tombs, Dier el Madina the site of a vey special workman’s village whose craftsmen built and decorated the tombs of the Pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings. Finally, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut). After lunch on baord free time. Afternoon visit Luxor Temple and early evening Cocktail Receptionwith live music at the club lounge. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.

    Day 4 (Friday)

    After breakfast sail to Edfu. Lunch on board and free time. Early evening visit the Temple of Edfu, the best preserved temple of the ancient world, dedicated to Horus the Falcon God. Dinner and overnight in Edfu.

    Day 5 (Saturday)

    Sail to Aswan and after breakfast free time. Lunch on board and afternoon visit the High Dam and Philae Temple. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.

    Day 6 (Sunday)

    Early morning sail to Kom Ombo. After breakfast visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. One side is dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek, God of Fertility and Creator of the World. The other side is dedicated to the Falcon God Haroeris, also known as Horus, the Elder. Sail to Aswan and after lunch visit the Botanical Garden by Felucca. Early evening Sound & Light show at Philae Temple. Dinner on board and overnight in Aswan.

    Day 7 (Monday)

    After breakfast optional visit to Abu Simbel or free time. Lunch on board and afternoon free time. Cocktail reception with entertainment on the Mango Island. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.

    Day 8 (Tuesday)

    Disembark Aswan after breakfast.
