The newest ship of the Sonesta Nile fleet is the Sonesta St. George I Nile Cruise, offering 47 deluxe cabins and 10 suites. The Sonesta St George I is one of the most elegant ships on the Nile, offering a full-service spa and fitness centre, restaurant, bars, nightly entertainment and guided excursions.

Accommodation onboard the Sonesta St George I is spacious with 23″ LCD TV screens, mini bar, wireless Internet, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, safe, and a bath which is equipped with a spa unit including steam, jacuzzi and water massage, plus a double glass panoramic French window.

The main restaurant is located on the lower deck and offers lavish buffet lunch and breakfasts and in the evenings a full a la carte menu. Guests may also enjoy a cocktail or a fine selection of drinks from the piano bar, lounge bar and sun deck bar.

The main bar plays host to nightly live entertainment which includes a belly dance show, Captain’s welcome cocktail party, and fancy dress galabeya party. Live music is also available in the piano bar.

Guests may cool down in the sizeable swimming pool or relax in the jacuzzi on the main deck. There is also a fully equipped Spa & Wellness centre offering a range of treatments, gym, sauna and steam bath (Payable locally).

Other facilitie include an hairdresser, gift shop and a custom made jewellery shop.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Depart from the UK for your flight to Luxor. On arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the Sonesta St George Ifor an evening check-in. Overnight is spent in Luxor.
Day 2 – In the morning you will visit the Luxor Museum. After lunch, your excursion will take you to the Temples of Karnak and Luxor on the East Bank. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 3 – In the morning, visit the highlights of the West  Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon sail via the Esna Lock to edfu. Overnight in Edfu.
Day 4 – In the morning visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu before continuing along the Nile, mid-morning, to Kom Ombo. In the afternoon visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris in Kom Ombo and then continue on to Aswan. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 5 – After breakfast, spend the day exploring the sights of Aswan with a visit to the High Dam and the Temple of Philae in the morning and a relaxing trip on a felucca past the Agha Khan Mausoleum and Elephantine Island in the afternoon. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 6 – Spend the morning at leisure in Aswan, with the option of a trip to Abu Simbel (additional cost payable locally). In the afternoon, sail from Aswan to Edfu. Overnight in Edfu.
Day 7 – In the morning, sail from Edfu to Esna. Visit the Temple of Khnum at Esna before crossing the lock and continuing on to Luxor in the afternoon. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 8 – After breakfast, disembark the Sonesta St George I and transfer to Luxor Airport for your return flight to the UK.
